Hollowreach Expedition

Hollowreach Expedition is a slower, moodier game about exploring a network of abandoned caverns. You solve environmental puzzles, map your route, and piece together what happened here through scattered notes. It trades action for atmosphere, and it earns that trade with excellent sound design and a genuinely creepy sense of place.

Movement is swipe-based and simple, which keeps the focus on looking around and figuring things out. Some puzzles had me stuck for a while, but they always felt solvable once I noticed the clue I'd walked past. Nothing here is unfair, just quietly demanding.

Play it with headphones. The soundscape does half the storytelling, and it's the difference between a decent adventure and one that stuck with me for days.
