About

Pocket Lane started as a group chat where a few friends kept sending each other screenshots of arcade games during commutes. At some point we realized we had more opinions than the app stores had reviews worth reading, so we turned it into a proper site. Everything here comes from people who actually play on their phones during lunch breaks and long train rides.

We focus on racing and arcade titles, but we don't ignore a good RPG or strategy game when it lands well on a small screen. The idea is simple: cover games that feel good in your hands, not just games with big marketing budgets.

When we pick something to review, we install it, play it for at least a few days, and pay attention to the boring stuff too — battery drain, how aggressive the ads are, whether the controls survive a bumpy bus. Only then do we write.

We're independent. No publisher tells us what score to give, and we don't pretend a mediocre game is great because it's popular. If we didn't like something, we say so plainly.
